Haiku

Upon pointed toes
Arms outstretched into the world
The sun breaking through

The snow is melting
Glistening as fallen stars
In the fading gloom.

Incandescent clouds
Flowing as a calm river
A temperate breeze.

A jet scores the sky
Blazing a trail in its wake
A sparrow follows.

Thunderbolts resound
Paling only in compare
To the warbling birds.

Passing in the night
Summer moonlight dissipates
The fountain of youth.
